I realise this is almost a cult thing and no one but me will have ever have heard of (or care about) this song but me. That said, it’s an awesome song if you know who Jayne is. You don’t? Go watch Firefly. This episode is called Jaynestown, and it’s quite possibly my favourite.

My favourite episode of my favourite TV show. Can’t ask for better than that, can ye?

Wir Sind Helden - Nur ein Wort

I’m annoyed with Smaran at the moment because he found this track before me, which is why I initally resisted posting it up. Welp, I can’t any longer - I love it. It’s like Travis’ Selfish Jean, but German and awesomely upbeat.

As a side note, if this site looks like shit, it’s because the images are hosted on euphoricllama.com and Bluehost are taking their sweet time doing maintenance on the server. Site’s been down for a day… bastards.

Colin Hay - Overkill

I’m in a Scrubs mood today. Again. It’s probably because they have so many awesome soft rock songs… guess that’s what happens when you’re under budget and need to get some money to the RIAA, stat.

I first enjoyed this song because of the context in the episode, but I’m listening to it right now without watching and it’s just as good. Go figure.

How awesome is this song? From the crazy popular Russian group Leningrad, who no one seems to have heard of in English-speaking countries. Just ‘cos they speak funny, people, doesn’t mean it’s not sweet music.

The video was made by a fantastic Flash artist called Toondra a few years back, and it’s on his site that I originally found the song. So I thank him for diversifying my music tastes - can’t get enough of this insane track that I don’t understand a word of.

Not sure if anyone outside the UK have heard of him, but Levi Roots is pretty much a celebrity over here. I know, it’s reality TV, but this one’s watchable: Levi Roots first fell into the limelight when he sang a song about his product (guess the name?) on Dragons’ Den about a year ago. This video is taken from the show.

A single was made, but I’m not a huge fan - simplicity is sometimes best. ‘Course, you can find it on YouTube if you really want to hear it.
